Washington Wedding Inspiration (for the BOHO hikers at heart)
Elsa and Matt decided to elope with only their parents, and the day was as beautiful as it could be (as you will see in these pics).
Their day was pretty much what a typical elopement day looks like. They started the day getting ready in separate rooms, anxiously waiting for me to arrive so they could finally see each other and do their first look. Once I got there and got a few getting ready/detail pics, we went ahead and got Matt all set up outside to see Elsa all done up looking STUNNING in her wedding dress. After we all collectively cried during the first look, we jumped in the car to their ceremony spot where they would say their vows and we would conclude the day with a first dance in the mountains and some cake cutting.
My most favorite thing about elopements is how simple and stress free they are. They are about as laid back and chill as a wedding day can get. You don’t get caught up in the stresses of everyone else, it’s what a wedding day is truly about…YOUR LOVE! Don’t get me wrong, I love me some traditional big weddings too…but there is something to be said about simplicity, and embracing the stillness with your partner on the day of your wedding.
Their gallery just gives me the best vibes, and it deserves to be shared with the world for inspiration for your own wedding day! I absolutely love the “just married” signs that Elsa made. These two love backpacking and I love that they incorporated that into their wedding day. My biggest advice to you is to incorporate whatever is important to you and your partner on your wedding day. Whether that’s backpacking, your dogs, or even your shared love of beer (lol, I love me some photos of ya’ll shotgunning a beer 😂). After all, your wedding day is about YOU, make it as personal as possible!! It doesn’t have to be a Pinterest perfect wedding, it just has to be what is unique and special to you two. 💛
Here is their beautiful wedding day, I hope it sparks some inspiration for your own!
