Washington Wedding Inspiration (for the BOHO hikers at heart)
Elsa and Matt decided to elope with only their parents, and the day was as beautiful as it could be (as you will see in these pics).
Their day was pretty much what a typical elopement day looks like. They started the day getting ready in separate rooms, anxiously waiting for me to arrive so they could finally see each other and do their first look. Once I got there and got a few getting ready/detail pics, we went ahead and got Matt all set up outside to see Elsa all done up looking STUNNING in her wedding dress. After we all collectively cried during the first look, we jumped in the car to their ceremony spot where they would say their vows and we would conclude the day with a first dance in the mountains and some cake cutting.

When people are thinking about where to get married, I feel as if Washington State isn’t thought about…even though it’s truly one of the prettiest places I have ever been.
Let’s just mark off the obvious which is the SCENERY!!! From the beautiful ocean, to the beautiful mountains, to the mossy forests. Washington doesn’t just have one choice of scenery like a lot of states do (some have mountains, some have the ocean, some have the forrest), it has everything you would ever want for your perfect wedding day.

Imagine this, it won’t stop raining on your wedding day. Like, pouring rain. Not just your gentle little drizzle. You think, every couples nightmare on their wedding day, right? Not Emily and Nicks.
We spent a good hour waiting the rain out, and when we all realized it wasn’t going to stop…Emily said “let’s just do it!” and Nick said “whatever Emily wants to do”. 😭 We all got absolutely soaked by the end of the elopement, but ironically….these are some of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken. The love that these two have for each other can be felt even with the rain soaking them. What easily could’ve ruined a day, these two ran with it and made it even better. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. 💕
