Emily & Nick//A love so beautiful that even rain on a wedding day can't ruin
Imagine this, it wonβt stop raining on your wedding day. Like, pouring rain. Not just your gentle little drizzle. You think, every couples nightmare on their wedding day, right? Not Emily and Nicks.
We spent a good hour waiting the rain out, and when we all realized it wasnβt going to stopβ¦Emily said βletβs just do it!β and Nick said βwhatever Emily wants to doβ. π We all got absolutely soaked by the end of the elopement, but ironicallyβ¦.these are some of my favorite pictures Iβve ever taken. The love that these two have for each other can be felt even with the rain soaking them. What easily couldβve ruined a day, these two ran with it and made it even better. Iβve never seen anything quite like it. π
My fiance is obsessed with the rain and always tells me βrain makes everything betterβ. I was a little nervous about if I got good pictures because it was pouring rain and hard to adjust things on my camera (and I also doubt myself a lot ugh hahah even though I know I always get the shot, youβre your own worst critic, right?!). I called my fiance on the way home and he reassured me that these pictures were going to be amazing and I had nothing to worry about. He was absolutely right!
Why is it that rain on a wedding day is so many peoples worst fear? Rain is such a beautiful thing. Rain is cleansing. Rain is freeing. I have a whole new perspective on rain on your wedding day now because of these two. I hope these photos help you to as well. No matter what the weather is on your wedding day, your love still deserves to be celebrated! Donβt let something out of your control affect the way you feel about your special day!
Heres to breaking the stereotype that rain on your wedding day is the worst thing!
